If you’ve learned one thing about me from following my blog, it’s that black is my favorite color and anything edgy is my favorite look! Hence, my excitement for today’s post should be pretty clear. I’m wearing one of my favorite looks: a mix of edgy and rocker chic vibes with a touch leather and silver hardware. I recently had the opportunity to work with one of my favorite denim brands, Carmar. I think it is pretty easy to find a casual pair of pants – anything from lower end to high end designer, simple pants are easy to find. I find it is more difficult to find pants that are different and not so simple. That is why I love what Carmar is doing! Their products are far from ordinary, and their style is literally right up my alley. They have a variety of choices, anything from denim skinnies, to boyfriend jeans, to super edgy black pants – all of them in cool and super trendy styles! For my look today I went with a pair of their black distressed skinnies with zipper accents. What I love about this pair is the details; it takes distressed to a new level with the silver zippers. It’s super edgy and I’m a sucker for that 🙂
I paired the pants with a leather vest from Topshop. I really love how the silver hardware in the vest brings out the silver hardware on my pants. The combination goes really well together and ties the whole look together! I went with a simple tank under the vest because there’s already a lot going on with the pants and vest. I also kept my shoes simple with a pair of black booties – I think the closed toe bootie works best for this look and makes it flow together perfectly! As for accessories, I brought out my Kooples bag because the silver buckles added that extra punch to pull the look the together.
Some people may think wearing all black is boring, but if you pair unique pieces together, mixing textures and styles, black is far from boring!
