Hi hi! I hope you are well having a wonderful week and getting ready for Halloween, I can’t believe it is just a few days away! Where did the time go!? Anyways, if you follow me on IG then you know I have been super busy lately and traveling a bit! There has been a lot going on this month and I finally have some time to share with you guys all about my recent Mexico getaway in Los Cabos. I had the pleasure of working with Secrets Puerto Los Cabos on this trip and when I got the opportunity I was so excited! Secrets Resorts is a company I have been wanting to work with for a while because I am a huge fan of their properties. I have actually stayed at two of their resorts before, and I wasn’t working with them then! I visited to Secrets Maroma Bay, which is towards Cancun, about three years ago with my family. And recently in January, my BF and I visited Secrets Akumal which is near Tulum. I was so happy with my stay both times which made me even more excited about visiting their Los Cabos location!
So before I get into my stay I wanted to share a little bit about Secrets Resorts in general. Secrets Resorts & Spas are all about luxury. They are all adult-only and all inclusive (which I LOVE). They have resorts located all over Mexico as well as Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica. Whether you’re traveling for pleasure, an event, wedding, anniversary, whatever it may be – they have some really beautiful tropical locations! Secrets Resorts offer so many amenities such as gourmet dining, 24 hour concierge and room service, unlimited premium beverages, elegant accommodations, world-class spas, as well as plenty of activities and entertainment. Basically, you never have to leave your resort when you’re staying at a Secrets property. They offer so much which makes it nice to stay on your property and relax, while enjoying everything they offer. I also really love how secluded all of their resorts are, as well as the romantic and luxurious vibes I get whenever I’m there.
Now onto my stay at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos. I have been to Cabo a few times now and one of my favorite things about it is how close it is. It is just less than two hours away from the OC/LA area which is seriously shorter than some of the days I spend in traffic driving to LA haha! It is basically super convenient to get to and I really appreciate that! Once we arrived, we took a shuttle to our hotel which was only about 15 minutes away – again super convenient. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately by the friendly staff as well as the manager, with champagne! You know I totally loved that! They helped us with our luggage and took us on a private golf cart to check into our room, at the preferred lounge. Preferred members get a few more amenities with their stay, such as a private pool and lounge for preferred members only. I loved this because it a little more private and secluded from the main pool which made it even more relaxing! Our check in went very smooth and quick and we were escorted to our room right after. We got into our room and it was absolutely stunning! It was one of their corner suites, which they only have like 15 of, and it was so beautiful! Our room had a living room area, a huge bathroom and closet (very necessary for me), as well as a large balcony with lounge chairs, a hot tub, and a beautiful ocean + golf course view. We spent every sunset here! I loved it so much. After we got settled in, we spent the rest of our day by the pool relaxing, sipping on margs, and eating endless amounts of delicious guac!
So say the least, the property is stunning. I really loved how secluded the resort was! It is surrounded by mountains, the Baja desert, and a couple golf courses. I loved the openess of the resort and how you get views of the ocean as well as the mountains and golf courses. There are so many desert botanicals all over the property, it is seriously cactus heaven! The architecture of the property is also so beautiful, I love how the designed the property. No matter where you are, you get a view of something beautiful, whether it’s the ocean, the golf course, the mountains, anything! Secrets Puerto Los Cabos is located in the heart of Puerto Los Cabos. It is near the marina which offers world-class fishing, a pedestrian village with shops and boutiques, and botanical gardens. Cabo San Lucas is only a short drive away as well and it offers a lot of shopping, dining, and nightlife! Although we stayed on the property our entire trip, I loved that we had the option to go to the town easily to explore!
We spent 3 nights here and it was perfect! Our days were spent by the pool and beach. The resort offers two pools, one for preferred members and one for everyone and although I loved the pools, my favorite part of the resort was the beach. The beach was so peaceful and beautiful. It was private which is very important to me because I don’t like crowded beaches with a ton of tourists. This was so peaceful and serene. I must note that the beach is NOT swimmable here because the currents are pretty crazy but I don’t really like to swim in the beach anyways so I didn’t mind at all! They have lounge chairs and cabanas set up along the edge of the property, overlooking the beach. The best part about the beach was the cute beach bar! It was my fav spot to hang during the day. The beach bar has swings all around it and it is just the spot to be. Drinks in hand over looking the beach, it was heaven!
When it came to dining, the options were endless! The property offers 5 a la carte gourmet restaurants, a buffet, a grill, and a cafe, as well as 24 hour in room dining service and a cafe. The restaurants all offer so many different options – there is everything from an Asian hibachi restaurant to an Italian one and seafood. They were all delish! I loved how we were able to try something new every night. We ordered room service one morning for breakfast which was also so good! All the rooms have this secret door where they deliver your room service order so you don’t need to see or talk to anyone. They just drop it off in there and when you’re done you can leave all the dirty dishes in there and they will come back to pick it up. So convenient! I also really loved the food by the pool, it was everything I wanted – casual yet delicious!
The resort also offers a world-class spa with indoor/outdoor treatment rooms, hydrotherapy circuit with sauna, steam room, whirlpool, cold plunge, water circuit, massage jets, and foot hydro massage. The spas design is stunning! The resort also offers a gym as well as entertainment and activities such as dinner shows, live performances, cooking classes, Spanish lessons, and many many more! There is always something to do and I think that’s really important for a resort to offer. They have something to do for anyone and everyone! One of the nights we were there they had a Mexican themed party with live music, great food, and lots of tequila! It was so fun!
One more really cool thing that I must note is that AM Resorts has an app which has all the properties on it. You can select the resort you are staying at and through the app you can see everything the resort has to offer. Here they list the activities and entertainent with the times and locations, all the restaurants, and other amenities such as the spa. Here are a few screenshots of it!
Overall, our stay was everything I wanted and more! I think one of the things that stood out the most to me during our trip was the service and hospitality during our time there. Every single staff member was so helpful, kind, and always attentive to our needs as well as the needs of every other guest around us. Whether it was housekeeping, waiters and waitresses, or concierge – every staff member we encountered greeted us graciously and I find that VERY important. There is a reason why I have now been to three Secrets properties and aside from the beautiful resorts and amenities, the service is a top reason why I keep coming back! We had such a wonderful stay and I can not wait until the next time I visit another Secrets Resort!
Thank you so much to the staff and everyone at Secrets Resorts for the wonderful stay! And as always, thank you for reading! xx
