Lipstick, lipgloss, lip liner… you name it and I want it.. in NUDE. I’ve really tried to branch off and wear colors like red and pink but whenever I do, I just don’t like the way it looks on me. I like to wear neutrals so it’s no surprise that I like my make up to be neutral as well. I love love love nude lippies. Day or night, you can almost always find me rocking one. I get a lot of questions about my lipsticks daily so I thought it would be only fitting to share a post with you girls about my favorite nude lip colors! I’ll be sharing a mix of drugstore and name brand items, these are all colors and shades I love and use all the time! So let’s get to it…
DRUGSTORE:
NYX: Cairo – NYX is probably one of my favorite drug store brands, their formulas are so good and you can’t beat the price! This is a soft matte lip cream and it goes on really smooth and creamy, yet still lightweight. This is a true nude with no pink or mauve undertone, I love wearing this alone or with a gloss over.
NYX: Stockholm – This is another drugstore fav, Stockholm is definitely a deeper shade than Cairo. It has a mauve undertone and goes on a little darker. I love this paired with my MAC lipliner in Whirl.
Maybelline: #530 Hot Sand – this color reminds me a lot of Cairo, it’s a true nude but more on the frosty side. I think this color looks best with a gloss over it! I prefer the formula of NYX better but this is still a great drugstore option!
HIGHER END:
Laura Mercier: Nude Naturel – I am obsessed with this creamy formula, it goes on so smooth and lasts all day and night long. This is a nude pink, and although I’m not big on pinks, this is probably one of the only ones I like on me! It’s very pretty on and it’s a nice mix of pink and nude, not top heavy on either color, but just a really pretty mix. It’s a perfect spring/summer shade!
KKW Beauty: Nude 2 – I never thought I would say this about Kim K’s line… but this lipstick is so BOMB. I went to the KKW pop up shop at South Coast a while back and that’s where I came across this shade. It looked so pretty on display so I gave in and purchased it. I am SO happy I did because it is now one of my favorite nude lipsticks. The formula is so nice and creamy, while still having a matte finish. The quality is also great, it’s highly pigmented and lasts all day for me. I get a lot of compliments whenever I’m wearing it! I need to try all her nudes now because there are so many pretty shades and Nude 2 totally sold me on her line!
MAC: Honeylove – This is THE holy grail. I think Honeylove is one of the first lipsticks I ever bought when I started wearing makeup. It is my ride or die. My go to lip color always and probably forever! I’ve been wearing this shade for legit over 10 years and I’m still obsessed to this day. It is literally THE perfect shade of nude. I love pairing this with MAC’s lip liner in Whirl or Hot n Spicy. The combo is stunning and I will be forever obsessed with this shade!
Buxom: Camila and Savannah – Buxom has an amazing collection of glossy lip plumpers and these two are my absolute fav. The colors are so beautiful on and look great worn alone or on top of your favorite lip color. They also are great lip plumpers and give your lips that extra pop!
Christian Dior: 426 Sensual Matte – This is a very deep and warm nude, the formula is creamy with a satin finish which leaves my lips feeling super moisturizing. This is probably one of the darker shades of nude of this list, but I love it paired with a light brown or gold eye shadow, it’s super pretty for evenings!
Charlotte Tilbury: Bitch Perfect – At first glance, the packaging of any Charlotte Tilburry product is just stunning. Not only do they kill it with their packaging, but I am a big fan of their makeup! This lip color is one of their most popular shades, it is a peach nude and pairs so well with their lip liner Pillow Talk.
NARS: Swing – This is a velvet nude lip cream and it’s more of a rosey nude color. This entire collection is highly pigmented with a lot of saturation, so it lasts all day. I love this formula because it glides on like a gloss, but it sits on the lip like a lipstick!
NARS: Good Times –This is a velvet matte lip pencil, it has a similar formula as the lip cream but in a pencil which makes it super convenient to use when you’re on the go because it can be a lip liner and lip color all in one. The color is a darker nude with a lot of pigmentation. Sharpening this pencil can be a little tricky so I recommend using one from NARS or another high quality one so you don’t ruin the pencil!
Marc Jacobs Beauty: Sugar Sugar – This is a hydrating lip gloss stick and I love this line from MJ Beauty because it is so unique! The colors are very light and fair, but have the perfect hint of color and gloss. It literally melts on you lips and is so hydrating; this collection is perfect for the perfect all natural daytime Spring and Summer makeup look!
Kylie Cosmetics: Exposed Lip Kit – I first tried Kylie Cosmetics a few years back because I was so intrigued with her whole transformation; she always wore the prettiest nudes so I tried a few of her products and my favorite had to be the Exposed lip kit. The color is so beautiful, it’s a warm beige nude and I have been obsessed for years now. The formula is good and highly pigmented too but I have some issues with the lip liner packaging, it doesn’t sharpen easily and is kind of flimsy, BUT the color is so good so that makes up for it.
LIP LINERS:
Laura Mercier Lip Liner: Baby Lips – I love this lip liner because it pairs SO well with the Laura Mercier Nude Naturel. It’s a really pretty pink nude and it goes on so smooth and creamy but doesn’t bleed at all and stays on all day and night.
MAC Lip Liner: Whirl – This is my favorite lip liner from MAC. The color is beautiful and matches well with so many different nude lippes. I love paring this with Honeylove! It is a deeper mauve color but it pairs so well with all nudes, I like to blend it in a bit so it looks more natural yet still outlining my lips perfectly.
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Liner: Pillow Talk – This is my favorite lip liner form Charlotte Tilbury, it reminds me a lot of Whirl from MAC and pairs well with a lot of nudes, but especially well with Charlotte Tilbury’s Bitch Perfect lipstick.
