LEATHER x LACE

For today’s blog post I’m incorporating two of my favorite looks into one: leather and lace. There is nothing more feminine than lace. Whether it be a top or dress, lace is classy and sexy all at the same time and that is why I love it so much. I’m personally drawn more towards laced long sleeves; there’s just something about long sleeves with lace detailing that really catches my eye. This top from LF Stores and really grabbed my attention not only because of the lace detailing and shape, but because of the color. I love the boldness of the color red; just like lace it is sexy and classy. So a mixture of the two is something I just can’t pass on. I also love the way this form fitting and low cut top fits. I paired the lace number with a leather skirt, detailed with zippers across the front. The zippers add a lot of edge to the skirt, stepping the look up from an ordinary leather skirt. If you know me, you know I’m not into super girly looks… thus, I paired the top with this skirt to balance out my look – the skirt makes the look edgy, while the top adds a girly flair. I finished off my look with classic Saint Laurent pointed-toe pumps in patent black. Every girl needs a pair of classic heels – they are the perfect shoe for everything from a job interview or a first date, plus they really elongate your legs and who doesn’t want that! There are tons of styles and colors out there that will fit your personal style and taste, it’s all about finding the right pair for you. For me, the patent black is my pointed-toe heel of choice because I think it adds that extra punch to any look.  My handbag of choice for this look is my favorite mini side bag from The Kooples. For me, it’s all about the details and the silver hardware and buckles on this side bag really change the whole look up. What I think is really great about this outfit is that each piece can be worn separately, dressed up or down depending on the occasion! I think everyone can agree that versatility in fashion is super important 🙂
