5 Nail Polish Shades That Will Instantly Make You Look Tanner

Happy first day of summer!! 🌞 I am SO excited it is finally summer, my favorite season of the year. Cue pool parties, warm weather, and an endless tan… the best part IMO! There’s nothing I love more than being tan. Everything just happens to look good with a tan, and it’s safe to say I’m in a better mood when I’m tan! Just being tan in general is amazing, BUT did you know certain nail polishes can make you look tanner? I definitely have a “summer” collection of polishes that I wear just in the summer to make my tan stand out even more. The key is to avoid colors such as greys, blacks, and reds. Stick to brighter colors and pastels. So here are five of my favorite colors that make me look tanner (I am sticking to OPI because that is my go-to nail polish). By the way, have you ever wondered how long acrylic nails last? It’s an interesting aspect to consider when you’re aiming for that perfect summer look!

1. OPI – Mod About You: This is the ultimate pink. My go to shade of pink for as long as I can remember! Everytime I wear it, I can’t tell you how many compliments I get on it. It is a pastel pink and I love how pigmented it is. A lot of pinks are too light and you can still see your nail under it. You won’t have that problem with this one. It’s my FAV! 
2. OPI – Alpine Snow: White is ALWAYS a good idea. There’s nothing better than a crisp, fresh white. I feel like it is definitely an underrated shade but I love it so much. The key is to make sure you put a top coat so it doesn’t crack or turn “dirty.” White against tan skin will instantly pop and make you look 32818 times more tan.
3. OPI – Do You Lilac It: I am obsessed with this shade of lilac/purple. I am not a purple girl, but this pastel lavender shade is TDF. It is so pretty and girly and a little darker than Mod About You. If pink isn’t for you, then I would totally recommend this shade.
4. OPI – Live.Love.Carnival: If you want bright, then this is the color for you. It is such a fun color! It is a bright coral-ish color with hints of pink and orange. This color is definitely eye catching and I love wearing it on a tropical vacay!
5. OPI – Gargantuan Green Grape: This is a soft, creamy pastel shade of light green/blue. I’m not one to wear green or blue polish often, but something about this shade is just so pretty. It is subtle and different but stands out due to the pastel undertones.
