Happy Hump day! Today on the blog I went with an all black look, but decided to play around with different textures and added an extra punch to my look with my booties. I always think adding different textures to your look can bring a lot to a monochrome outfit. Whether you decided to play with textures in your clothes or your accessories, you can’t go wrong with either. I paired a leather skirt with suede accent with a simple ribbed cotton turtle neck. Although the skirt seems simple, it still has different textures and zipper accents so I wanted something more subtle on my top. I threw on a longline coat to add some height to the look. My favorite thing about longline jackets and coats are the fact that they can be worn casually or dressed up, but always a lot to your look and can really elongate your body as well! I paired the all black look with mesh black and white lace up booties. I’ve had my eye on Jeffrey Campbell’s Elphaba boot for such a long time, and always wanted the black suede. But when I saw these, I had to have them – it’s something different and will definitely stand out in my closet full of black booties! I finished off my look my a place patent Chanel classic. I can’t get enough of patent leather; it’s so edgy and pairs well with anything. For me, monochrome doesn’t have to ever be boring! Always remember to play with textures to add some dimension to your outfit!
